Modern Bride. Is a Prenup for You? “If a decision to end the marriage has been made, a prenup can ensure a quick, inexpensive divorce,” says John Mayoue, a divorce attorney in Atlanta whose past clients include Jane Fonda, Sean Combs and Chris Rock. “If nothing else, prenups are a memoralization of marital expectations and can well lead to less misunderstanding and a stronger marriage from the beginning.”

Atlanta Women`s Magazine. What`s Love Got to Do with It? “Prenups are fairly essential for everyone now,” says top divorce attorney John Mayoue, whose client list includes Jane Fonda and Marianne Gingrich. “It used to be a male-driven document, but, with women becoming more prominent in the workplace, getting wealthier, and having more to protect, it`s not at all unusual for a woman to be initiating the conversation about a prenup — and it`s exactly what she should do.”

Justice Magazine. A Bumper Crop of Holiday Divorces Is it something in the Los Angeles water supply that`s causing all these celebrity splits? Well, maybe, but there`s a far more likely culprit: the holidays. And not just for stars, either — this time of year is murder on marriage, says Georgia divorce lawyer John Mayoue. “There are more divorces filed in December than any other month of the year,” Mayoue says. “It`s by far our busiest month of the year.” Some of his clients, he says, have even told him they blamed the holidays for the breakup of their marriage. “The holidays are the time period when, unfortunately, people are assessing their lives and feeling tremendous stress because they haven`t realized their goals. Justice Magazine. Sienna: Out a Fiance and a Ring? Actress Sienna Miller is hopping mad over humiliating revelations that her fiance and Alfie co-star bedded his children`s chubby nanny. Despite the actor`s scandalous sexploits, Miller will likely be left with a naked ring finger according to divorce attorney John Mayoue. …”Courts had problems figuring out who was wrong”, says Mayoue. These difficulties led to the current “no-fault engagement ring policy.” … Mayoue says Miller would be on shaky ground today if Law were to demand the sparkler`s return.
